She has specialized in HR; also holds a Post Graduation Diploma in Career Counselling. She is also a qualified MBTI® practitioner and a Certified Psychometrician & Assessor.
Suchitra has addressed many students on various platforms [educational institutes, leading Publications, NGO’s] on ‘Careers in India and Abroad’. Her work gives her the opportunity to interact directly with students, parents and academicians from various levels and resolve their career related queries. She has even addressed varied professional ranging from Principals to Psychiatrists, Teachers and Counsellors on various platforms on their role and importance of Career Counselling.
Apart from counselling, she writes regularly for weekly column oriented towards career & youth is published in The Times of India’s regional supplement – Maharashtra Times ‘Future Now’ and Afternoon Newspaper to solve career queries of readers. She is frequently writes for other publications such as the Hindustan Times, DNA and is regularly interviewed on television channels such as DD National’s ‘Hunnarbaaz’, ABP Maza, DD Shayadri, NDTV, IBN Lokmat and many more.
Her forte is in conducting workshops related to Employability skills such as Communication, Presentation, Group Discussion & Personal Interview and Resume Writing. She has also conducted various workshops for Corporate and Academicians on Personal Effectiveness, Creative Thinking, Effective Communication Skills, Managing Time, and so on. She has worked extensively with the ITI’s [Industrial Training Institutes] and Engineering students on enhancing their soft skills and employability skills. She has also been on panel for selecting students for MBA. Being an MBTI® practitioner, she has counselled many working professionals in their personal as well as professional lives, who are interested in pursuing further education or looking for a career shift. She has authored 2 books related to ‘Soft Skills’ and ‘Shikshnacha Runway’ [Entrance Exams for studies abroad and management entrance exams] in Marathi. She has been mentoring students from across India for the past 3 years under the Siemens Scholarship program.
In an effort to understand the nuances of the US education system, he has visited US Universities like the Fox School of Business, Fordham University, Princeton University, New Jersey Institute of Technology, and many more and has interacted with educationists from across the globe. She has also attended NAFSA conferences held in Seattle and Salt Lake City. She has counselled many students who are aspiring to study in international Universities –from short-listing Universities helping in the application process. Being in the field for 15 years, has given her an understanding not only about studies in India but also for various countries such as USA, UK, Australia & Singapore.
