With a unique blend of a PhD in Management focusing on ‘Need for Soft Skills Training for Employability in Undergraduates’, a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration with an HR specialization, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Career Counseling, Dr. Suchitra is a standout in her field. She is a qualified MBTI® practitioner and a Certified Psychometrician and Assessor. As one of the initiators of the Growth Centre (I) Pvt. Ltd. counseling firm, she has been active for almost 20 years in facilitating students’ and individuals’ career decision-making and personal development.
Suchitra’s work has had a significant impact on various platforms [educational institutes, leading publications, NGOs] on UG and PG careers in India and abroad and career planning. She is leading the University of Mumbai’s “Employability Skills” Pilot Project, which aims to identify soft skills through assessments and provide additional interventional training for students to improve their employability. She is now a part of the ‘Task Force’ to study the policy and make recommendations regarding the implementation of NEP 2020 for teacher training. She has designed the test for identifying potential for the Atal Incubation Centre, an initiative by Sri Krishnadevaraya University with the Andhra Pradesh Innovation Society of the Govt. of AP.
She regularly conducts training programs for organizations, employees, students, & teachers related to various aspects of personality and skills, such as personal enrichment, team dynamics, communication skills, and role effectiveness, to name a few. She has conducted teacher training programs in many educational institutes & NGO’s. She has mentored students from 24 states across India for the past ten years under the Siemens Scholarship program.
As an MBTI® practitioner, she has counseled many working professionals personally and professionally. She has also conducted various personality assessments for corporations’ employees. She participated in a training program on understanding the Finnish education system held in Helsinki, Finland.
She has authored two books: ‘Soft Skills’ and ‘Shikshanacha Runway’ [Entrance Exams for Studies Abroad and Management Entrance Exams] in Marathi. She writes regularly for a weekly column oriented towards career and youth in the Maharashtra Times. She is regularly interviewed on national and regional television channels such as DD National’s ‘Hunnarbaaz,’ ABP Maza, DD Shayadri, NDTV, IBN Lokmat, and many more.
